Verified UGC creators: how we vet every one of them

4 min read

At UGC Slalom, every UGC creator who signs up is verified by our team before they can work with brands. We do it so companies only receive content from qualified creators: better content, fewer revisions and less risk on every campaign.

Are you a creator we have not verified yet? Keep reading: we are working on a way for you to use UGC Slalom too.

Why we verify every creator

A marketplace open to everyone sounds great, but it has a cost for brands. When you post an offer and hundreds of applicants arrive, you have to review profiles, wonder who will deliver on time and accept that some of the content will need several rounds of changes.

Verifying creators moves that work to our side: we do it first so you do not have to do it later. The applicants you see on your offers have already passed a human filter.

How we choose them, one by one

This is not an automatic process. Our team spends hours every month going through sign-ups and choosing the best creators one by one. We look at the information each creator gives us when they register: their portfolio and their Instagram and TikTok profiles.

With that information we judge what matters in a real campaign:

Whether their content is high quality and carefully made.

Whether their profile feels natural and credible, which is what separates good UGC from a disguised ad.

Whether they fit the kinds of brands and formats that work on the platform.

It is, at heart, cherry-picking. We would rather have fewer, better creators than a huge catalogue where it is hard to tell them apart.

What a curated selection means for you

A tool can sort applications, but it cannot tell whether a creator will represent you well. A person can: by watching the videos in a portfolio or noticing how someone comes across on their social profiles. That human eye is what we apply before a creator ever reaches your offers.

This is especially useful for agencies working to tight deadlines and with several clients at once: the sooner you know you can trust a creator, the less time you spend supervising and the more you spend on strategy.

What brands and agencies gain

You can feel the verification in three ways:

Better content. You work with people who have already shown they can create videos and photos that perform on social media.

Fewer revisions. A qualified creator understands the brief the first time, which cuts rounds of changes and shortens timelines.

Less risk. You pay for content from creators we have reviewed, not for a blind bet. If you manage several brands from an agency, that peace of mind multiplies.

If you are new to working with creators, it helps to read how to find UGC creators and what a UGC marketplace offers.

To the creators we have not verified yet

If you signed up and we have not verified your profile yet, it is usually because your portfolio does not yet show the kind of content brands ask us for. It is not a judgement on you or your talent, and it is not a final no.

Every great creator started somewhere, and content gets better with practice. That is why we are working on a service for the creators we have not verified yet, so you can also use the platform soon. When it is ready, we will announce it here and on our social channels.

Start with verified creators

If you want authentic content without spending time filtering profiles, post your first offer from the UGC Slalom home page and work with creators our team has already reviewed.
